About Us

Pup & Roo Animal Sanctuary was founded in 2020 by Andrew and Tayler Evinger. After getting married in the fall of 2019 they found themselves living outside of Nashville, TN, with a growing desire to begin saving and nurturing farmed animals by giving them a place where they could live their lives in peace while getting the care and respect they deserved.

The journey began when two holstein bottle babies came into their life. Arlo and Zoe would become the catalyst for Andrew and Tayler and was the beginning of a life changing endeavor that has shaped their lives ever since.

Seeing how fragile these two little babies were and whose future was certain death. Tayler and Andrew poured themselves into making sure Arlo and Zoe would survive. It was a huge learning curve filled with a lot of scary moments, sleepless nights, and multiple vet visits, but as the weeks turned into months they began to see their efforts pay off as the two calves turned into the most perfect little cows they could have ever hoped for.

Tayler and Andrew began developing their land in the hopes of being able to slowly grow it into a place where more animals could be brought to safety and have the ability to live out there days exactly how they were intended to.

As time passed more animals found their way to the sanctuary. Pup & Roo Animal Sanctuary is now home to over 20 animals ranging from goats, sheep, pigs, cows, donkeys, horses and mules, along with rescued dogs and cats to round it out.

Pup and Roo Animal Sanctuary is supported by the generous donations of those that share the same values as Tayler and Andrew and cannot survive without the loving support of its donors.

As the sanctuary continues to grow the hope is to be able to continually offer more for the neglected and mistreated animals that find themselves here and provide them the highest care that allows them to flourish and live out their days in peace.
